Creation
T.F.W. begins as an obsolete blog. The decision has been made; the Twins will play outside starting in April 2010. During the fifteen year process of trying to get a new outdoor stadium many Twin's fans, columnists, and baseball people argued that the Twins needed a retractable roof. The argument was made for out-of-town fans from all corners of Minnesota, Iowa, Manitoba, and the Dakotas. A second reason for a retractable roof is April (and hopefully October). Rarely does April enter like a lamb (instead its usually mid-May) and October can get cold quickly. The final reason argued for a retractable roof was not every day in Minnesota is a perfect day for outdoor baseball. Twins fans have been conditioned to sit and watch baseball in a climate controlled environment. Thus this blog has been created. I will simply track every Twin's home-game on the schedule during the 2009 season. I will rank the baseball weather on a scale of 1-5 stars. One star means a weather-related cancellation and five means a perfect summer evening to sit outside and watch baseball.
